I have slender feet, low volume instep and typically realize technical hikers or winter boots to be too wide. Boots, when they are broken in, on behalf of me are typically laced up thus on draw either aspect of the laces to where the fabric laps or a minimum of approaches that. i do not see that occuring with these. I've worn them for 3 days currently, the primary throughout a shoveling session when a foot of snow dropped the night before. They didn't permit my feet to urge wet or cold, though i might not say they were toasty heat. Not a criticism by any suggests that, I simply noticed that sporting them indoors for some hours my feet still felt cool. however outside within the snow they did what they are purported to. They feel well-built, terribly snug, nice traction. The achilles tendon space is cut alittle lower that feels loose initially however permits for bigger simple ankle flexion and that i quickly got used to it. The closure system is exclusive. The slender twine cinches up nice and comfortable and uses a plastic locking clasp that tucks into a pouch on the tongue, then theres a velcro power strap like your ski boots have. It takes alittle obtaining used to however i feel I will live with it. I do question its sturdiness though - I worry that in time skinny|the skinny} lacing twine and also the thin material loops in place of eyelets will not waiting.
