These are terribly well-made. the only is rigid enough to use with crampons and also the gaiters are a true profit. The tread is extremely aggressive, therefore you will have many traction wanting walking on ice. Walking in thirty inches of snow, there was no moisture penetration. My feet stayed high and dry. These compare favorably to those provided to me by the Air Force for Arctic conditions and people were of tight quality. I had previous build of sorel boot, that was lightweight, however still manage to induce water in and also the tie button hurt my shin when riding my snowmobile. The arctic sorel was too serious and hulking. i used to be amaze how lightweight this boot is however however rated for -60 degrees. i'd highly advocate this boot!
